Evacuation of civilians in Donetsk region continues

Since February 2022, 1.309 million people have been evacuated from the Donetsk region, including about 200,000 children and 47,000 people with reduced mobility. Currently, 201,000 civilians remain living in the government-controlled area. There are 13,682 children among them. Over the past week, 1,470 people have been evacuated from Donetsk Oblast.

The evacuation in Donetsk Oblast was discussed at a traditional briefing at the regional state administration with representatives of the Department for Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense, the Children's Service and the Department of Social Protection.

There are still 15,900 people living in the communities recognized as the area of active hostilities. This was reported by Dmytro Petlin, head of the department of operational and emergency service, communication, warning and informing the population of the Department for Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense Work. There are no children in the area.

There are still 827 children in the settlements where families with children are being forcibly evacuated. This was stated by Yulia Ryzhakova, Head of the Service for Children. "There are 824 children in Druzhkivka, and three children in Kryvyi Rih community. Over the past week, 170 children were evacuated: 9 children from Kryvyi Rih community, 159 children from Druzhkivka, and two children from Kramatorsk community.

Active resettlement of Donetsk residents outside the region continues. This was reported by Dmitry Pozharsky, Head of the Social Services Division of the Department of Social Protection.

Over the past week, 94 people have been resettled, including 48 people with reduced mobility. The evacuated Donetsk residents are being centrally resettled in Lviv, Volyn, Odesa, Ternopil, Zhytomyr and Kirovohrad regions.
