195,600 civilians continue to live in the territory of Donetsk region controlled by Ukrainian authorities. Over the past week, 650 people, including 48 minors, were evacuated or left the region on their own.
The progress of the evacuation in Donetsk region was discussed during a regular briefing at the regional state administration with the participation of representatives of the Department of Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense, the Service for Children's Affairs, and the Department of Social Protection of the Population.
There are still 13,800 residents living in communities recognized as active combat zones. This was reported by Dmytro Petlin from the Department of Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense. Almost 4,000 residents currently remain in the city of Kostiantynivka. Over the past week, more than 300 people have been evacuated from the community.
No one was evacuated from Pokrovsk and the Pokrovsk community during the week. According to the latest data, 1,250 civilians remain in the city.
A total of 12,642 children remain in the controlled territory of Donetsk Oblast. There are 383 children living in two settlements where the forced evacuation of families with children is currently underway. There are 379 children remaining in the city of Druzhkivka and four children in the village of Komyshuvakha in the Kramatorsk community.
According to Yulia Ryzhakova, head of the Children's Services Department, 38 children were evacuated last week, one of them from the village of Komyshuvakha and all the others from Druzhkivka.
The free resettlement of Donetsk residents to safer regions of Ukraine continues. According to Dmitry Pozharsky from the Department of Social Protection of the Population, 38 evacuated residents of Donetsk region were resettled last week. These are all people who applied for such assistance with resettlement through transit centers. In general, there has been a decrease in the number of people wishing to leave Donetsk region in recent days. The daily workload of both transit centers in Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions is about 100 people.
