Veterans with war-related disabilities are eligible for a one-time cash benefit (OGB) if they have been granted veteran status in accordance with paragraphs 11–16 of Part 2 of Article 7 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Status of War Veterans and Guarantees of Their Social Protection” and have been issued a certificate specifying one of these paragraphs.
The OGD is paid depending on the disability group as a multiple of the subsistence minimum. The payment ranges from 250 to 400 subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons, as established as of January 1 of the calendar year in which the disability was determined (in 2026, the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons is 3,328 UAH):
▪ Disability Group I – 400 subsistence minimums (1,331,200 UAH).
▪ Disability Group II – 300 subsistence minimums (998,400 UAH).
▪ Disability Group III – 250 subsistence minimums (832,000 UAH).
🔹Required documents
The following documents (copies or scanned copies) must be attached to the application (in accordance with Annex 2 to CMU Resolution No. 336 of April 29, 2016):
📌Certificate of disability resulting from war;
📌an extract from the decision of the Expert Team for the Assessment of a Person’s Daily Functioning (ETADF) or a certificate from the Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEC);
📌the applicant’s passport;
📌the identification number or a note in the Ukrainian citizen’s passport regarding refusal to accept it;
📌a document granting authority to a legal representative or authorized person to represent a person with a war-related disability, as specified in paragraphs 11–16 of Part 2 of Article 7 of the Law, drawn up in accordance with the law (in the case of an application by a legal representative or authorized person);
📌a statement with the details of a bank account opened in the name of the OGD recipient.
