On the Day of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, the municipal institution “Administration of the State Historical and Architectural Reserve in Sviatohirsk” held a touching master class “Angels of Memory” at the Vyacheslav Chornovil Public Library in Boryspil.
This event was not only a creative gathering, but also a sincere act of honoring the feat of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, a symbol of preserving the national memory of the events of the Revolution of Dignity. The event was attended by city residents and internally displaced persons from Donetsk Oblast. For them, the theme of the struggle for freedom and dignity is particularly acute, as the war forced them to leave their homes but failed to break their faith in Ukraine.
During the meeting, those present recalled the events of the winter of 2013–2014, when thousands of Ukrainians took to Independence Square to defend the country's European choice and the right to live in a free, democratic country. They spoke about the courage and self-sacrifice of those who gave their lives for the ideals of freedom, and about the responsibility of each person to preserve their memory and continue their work.
The symbolism of the angel, as an image of light, protection, and spiritual support, gave the event special meaning. In the practical part, participants created angels of memory with their own hands. In the silence of concentrated work, symbolic figures were born as a sign of respect for the fallen Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and faith in a peaceful future for Ukraine.
Each angel created became a small reminder of the high price of freedom. And the event itself was another step towards preserving the historical memory, unity, and resilience of Ukrainian society.
