As part of the Side by Side: United Communities project, another visit by active and talented young people from the Novogrodivka community to the Carpathian region took place. This trip was the fourth in the history of the partnership between the cities, confirming the strength of ties between eastern and western Ukraine even in the most difficult times.

Traditionally, the visit was based on mutual support. The Kalush territorial community fully covered the costs of the children's stay, providing comfortable accommodation, quality food, and a rich cultural and entertainment program. For its part, the Novogrodivka city military administration organized safe and convenient transportation, providing a bus to transport the delegation.

The program of the visit demonstrated the scale of cooperation in various areas of community life.

Cultural heritage and traditions

The youth of Novogrodivka presented a traditional Christmas nativity scene in Kalush, which has become a symbol of spiritual unity between the regions. The children also took part in a creative workshop on making motanka dolls, a symbol of the year.

Sports and leadership

An important part of the visit was sports competitions at the Sokil sports complex. Young athletes from Donetsk Oblast joined the city stage of the All-Ukrainian School Leagues "Side by Side," where they competed in five disciplines in mixed teams with Kalush residents and representatives of Sumy Oblast. To develop leadership skills, the young people visited the Molodvizh center in Lviv. The meeting brought together representatives of the youth councils of Novogrodivka and Kalush.

Creativity and integration

The Kalush Music School opened its doors to Novogrodivka residents, holding a master class on playing percussion instruments. The children also visited the ice arena and took part in a series of interactive events, including the game "Democracy" and the author's quest "Flight through Ukraine," developed by Novogrodivka youth.

"We are sincerely grateful to our sister city Kalush and all our partners for their warm welcome and the opportunity to feel part of one big family," said Olga Sidorova, deputy head of the Novogrodivka MBA.

The fourth joint trip proved once again that the memorandum of cooperation between Novogrodivka and Kalush is not a formality, but an effective tool for helping to build Ukraine's future side by side.
