Nineteen children from the Avdiivka community began a two-week summer camp at the “Limnytsia” suburban health and recreation center as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities” and the partnership between the Avdiivka and Ivano-Frankivsk city communities.
The session began on July 31 and will run through August 13. Over the course of two weeks, the children will enjoy comfortable accommodations, five balanced meals a day, sports activities, scavenger hunts, creative contests, evening entertainment programs, discos, and open-air movie screenings.
An excursion program has also been prepared for the young campers, allowing them to explore the picturesque corners of the Carpathian Foothills, including Manyava, Polyanytsia, and the Dovbush Rocks.
For children who have been forced to live in wartime conditions and far from home for a long time, these trips are not only an opportunity to spend their summer vacation in an interesting and active way, but also a chance to recharge, make new friends, experience exciting moments, and feel cared for.

It is thanks to the partnership within the “Side by Side: United Communities” project that the young residents of Avdiivka have the opportunity to spend part of their summer vacation in a safe environment filled with relaxation, new experiences, and unforgettable moments.
