Igor Kapusta, a participant in the regional “Young Person of the Year – 2026” competition in the “Power of Management Decisions” category
Ihor Kapusta was born in the village of Mykilske in the Donetsk region. He studied law in Odesa, earning a master’s degree in 2019. He began his career in public administration in 2020 at the Nikolsk District State Administration and, following the reform, continued his service at the village council.
Seeking to improve his management skills, Ihor combined work with study and, in 2025, earned a second bachelor’s degree in “Public Management and Administration” from Mariupol State University.
Due to the occupation, the Mykolaivka Village Council shifted to a relocation mode. Ihor helped establish food reserves, set up the council’s remote work system, and maintain communication with community residents.
He currently coordinates the tracking and distribution of humanitarian aid, the remote operations of two local schools, as well as youth, cultural, and sports projects. Another area of his work involves organizing and overseeing public procurement for the village council’s needs.
