As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” young residents of Druzhkivka took part in the children’s illustration contest “I Draw a Fairy Tale,” which was held to mark International Children’s Book Day.

The creative competition was organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Zhmerynka City Council and the Zhmerynka Community Public Library. Participants were asked to create illustrations for the winning stories of the literary contest “A Fairy Tale for Mr. Klyaksa 2025.”

The Druzhkivka community submitted over 60 entries, in which the young artists conveyed their own vision of fairy tales, filling them with vibrant colors, imagination, and genuine emotions.

Based on the jury’s evaluation, 21 representatives of the Druzhkivka community were named among the winners. Their illustrations best captured the atmosphere of the fairy tales and skillfully brought the authors’ ideas to life on paper.

Marat Kayibaliev received special recognition, winning the “Audience Choice Award.” His illustration for the fairy tale “The Miracle from Mr. Klyaksa’s Pockets” received the most support during the online voting.

The organizers are currently preparing awards and commemorative gifts for all participants. Soon, everyone will receive an award that will serve as a pleasant memento of their participation in this creative project.

We sincerely congratulate the winners and thank all the young artists for their enthusiasm, perseverance, and love of creativity. It is initiatives like these that bring communities together, open up new opportunities for children, and strengthen friendly ties between Ukraine’s regions.
