To mark International Happiness Day, the Donetsk Oblast hosted a regional virtual children’s art exhibition titled “And Happiness Lies in the Simple Word ‘Peace,’” organized by the Donetsk Oblast Educational and Methodological Center for Culture with the support of the Donetsk Oblast State Administration.
The artistic initiative brought together talented children from various communities across Donetsk Oblast, who expressed their own understanding of happiness, peace, and harmony through their creativity. The main goal of the event was to support children’s creativity, as well as to instill in the younger generation patriotic values, love for their homeland, and faith in a bright, peaceful future for Ukraine.
Participants presented a variety of artworks filled with sincerity and deep emotion. In their drawings, the children depicted family warmth, the beauty of their homeland, dreams of a carefree childhood, and life under a peaceful sky. Each work reflected personal experiences and, at the same time, a shared desire for peace.

The online format of the exhibition allowed a wide audience to view the young artists’ work and support them.
The event demonstrated that even in difficult times, children’s art remains a source of hope, inspiration, and faith in a better future.
