As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” the Irkliiv community hosted a youth mini-soccer tournament dedicated to Ukraine’s Constitution Day.
Five ambitious and strong teams took to the field:
The “Shakhove-Kropyvna” all-star team
- The Irkliiv Lyceum team
- The Starokovrai Lyceum team
- The Melnykiv Lyceum team
- The Vasyutyn Lyceum team
This was not just a tournament, but a true test of endurance, character, and team spirit. From the first to the last minute, the matches kept both players and fans on the edge of their seats. No one wanted to give in; the fate of the top spots was decided in fierce battles, where every goal scored sparked an outburst of emotion.
Based on the results of these intense matches, the final standings were as follows:
- 1st place — the Irkliiv Lyceum team, which became the undisputed champion of the tournament.
- 2nd place — the Vasyutyn Lyceum team, which demonstrated an incredible will to win.
- 3rd place — the “Shakhove-Kropyvna” combined team, which played a beautiful and well-coordinated game.
A team’s success is always the result of the coordinated efforts of talented athletes and wise coaches. We sincerely thank the following individuals for their personal contributions to the development of sports, the education of young people, and their comprehensive support of the teams:
Oleg Shapka — physical education teacher at the Shakhiv Secondary School (Grades 1–3);
Artem Besarab — sports instructor in the village of Kropyvna.
The Shakhiv Rural Military Administration organized transportation to ensure the safe and comfortable travel of the young athletes to the competition venue in the Irkliiv community.
We also extend our sincere gratitude to the tournament organizers for their excellent preparation of the event, ensuring safety, fair officiating, and creating wonderful conditions for our youth to develop, strengthen their bodies and spirits, and move forward together with the “Side by Side” project!
