On June 28, the Ukrainian people celebrate Ukraine’s Constitution Day—a holiday that symbolizes the affirmation of democratic values, citizens’ rights and freedoms, and the independence of our state.
To mark the occasion, the Donetsk Regional Children’s Library invites everyone to participate in the regional creative exhibition “A Symbol of Ukraine Made by Hand.”
We invite you to create an original work dedicated to the state or national symbols of Ukraine. The choice of medium is entirely up to you—from drawings or appliqué to crafts made of beads, fabric, paper, or natural materials. Let your creative works bring to life the blue-and-yellow flag of freedom, the trident, the viburnum, sunflowers, the vyshyvanka, the stork, the bandura, and other symbols that embody the beauty, strength, and uniqueness of our homeland.
Please submit photos of your creative works from June 22 through June 26 to the following email address: [email protected]. Before sending the email, be sure to check that it contains all the necessary materials and complete information about the participant. If the email contains works by several participants, each photo must be labeled, and a list of all participants must be attached to the email. This will help avoid confusion and ensure that the digital certificates, which all participants in the virtual exhibition will receive, are properly labeled.
The works will be published from June 26 to 29 on the library’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/oblbib.dn.ukr.net).
We invite you to join this creative initiative and design your own symbol of Ukraine, imbued with a piece of your love for your homeland, its history, and its future.
