In February, the Donetsk Regional Youth Center launched a year-long online program called "PodlitOK," which has already become a real discovery for young people in the region aged 13 to 17.
The initiative, born out of an understanding of the challenges facing teenagers today, thanks to an annual regional survey, offers teenagers a space for development and self-discovery, where everyone can be themselves, ask difficult questions, and receive professional support.
The goal of the program is to create a safe online space and talk about what is important to young people during their personal development.
The program began with discussions on the following topics:
- "Who am I? Self-identity," where participants explored their own uniqueness, learned to understand their strengths, and accept themselves as they are;
- "Values. How to understand yourself and your path," where they defined their own life goals and distinguished between imposed and true values.
- "About emotions and what to do with them," where they mastered the art of recognizing and managing their own emotions.
The program's professional team of speakers is particularly valuable. Experts in psychology, social work, and youth work engage in lively dialogue with teenagers. They talk about complex issues in understandable language, using modern methods and interactive forms of work.
The project creates a community of like-minded people where young people can find friends, support, and understanding. 126 participants have already joined the project and completed training.
Anyone aged 13-17 can join the project. Participation is free and takes place online on the Google Meet platform twice a month.
The next meeting is on March 18 at 4:00 p.m. on the topic of "Communication without conflict." To join the meeting, you need to register at https://forms.gle/7udXZoqqsY34osY8A.
