Before the full-scale invasion, Oleg and Svitlana Kislenko's family lived in Mariupol. It was there that they created a family-type children's home and raised their children with love and care. After February 24, 2022, the family was forced to evacuate to Germany.
Later, the family decided to return to Ukraine. By decision of the Lviv Regional Commission, the Kislenkos received a house in the Stryi district. The family welcomed 2026 in their homeland, in their new home.
Today, the children attend a local educational institution, the family is gradually integrating into the community, and continues to develop a family-based form of upbringing. The Mariupol City Council provides support to the family.
During a working trip as part of the "YaMariupol Near You" project, representatives of the Lviv center visited the Kislenko family. The children received sweets from volunteers from the Netherlands, as well as support from the Mariupol City Council in the form of books, toys, stationery, and clothing.
"The Mariupol City Council continues to provide systematic support to Mariupol residents who were forced to leave their hometown, providing support, assistance, and implementation of state and local programs to support families with children. As long as we stick together, our indestructible Mariupol will live on," said Valentina Boiko, head of the Lviv-based YaMariupol center.
