During the first half of October, rescuers from the “Phoenix” evacuation team evacuated 55 people—including 8 children and 9 residents with limited mobility—from dangerous areas in the Kramatorsk and Svyatogorsk communities.
This was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast.
The evacuation is taking place amid a constant threat of shelling and attacks by enemy drones. Despite the danger, State Emergency Service specialists are helping people leave settlements where it is becoming increasingly dangerous to remain.
Behind every evacuation are people’s lives and the chance to find a safer place. Rescuers are helping people navigate this difficult journey, paying special attention to children, people with limited mobility, and those who need additional support.
