On July 15, Ukrainians celebrate Ukrainian Statehood Day. This is an important national holiday that honors the centuries-old history, the indomitable spirit of the Ukrainian people, and the language, culture, and traditions of our nation.

On this festive day, humanitarian hubs and centers established for residents of the Donetsk region in safe areas of Ukraine held informational, educational, and cultural-patriotic events for children and adults aimed at strengthening national identity, promoting the history of Ukrainian statehood, and supporting internally displaced persons.

During informational and educational sessions and lectures titled “The Tree of Peace: Ukraine in Our Hearts,” “My Country—Ukraine,” “With Ukraine in My Heart,” “In Unity Lies the Strength and Power of the State,” and “Ukraine! You Are My Country,” and “Ukrainian Statehood: Stages of Formation”—dedicated to key events such as the Day of the Baptism of Kievan Rus’ and the Day the Declaration of State Sovereignty Was Adopted—children and adults learned about the historical roots of modern Ukraine and the significance of these dates for national consciousness and the formation of statehood.

Educational quest games such as “My Picturesque Ukraine,” “Traveling Through Ukraine,” “Our Country Is Our Homeland,” and “Ukraine—My Destiny and My Life” brought children together in educational and creative activities, where they solved themed crossword puzzles, guessed riddles, and completed lines of poetry.

A series of workshops titled “Ukraine Is Within Each of Us” took place at the venues, where participants created patriotic decorations using corrugated and colored paper, cardboard, felt, fleece, and foamiran.

The “Bracelets of Unity” created from yellow and blue ribbons, beads, and symbolic knots became symbols of unity, faith in victory, and support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

At the creative events “Symbols of Statehood” and “Workshop of Unity: Blue-and-Yellow Creativity,” participants created vibrant collages in the shape of a map of Ukraine, decorated with yellow-and-blue hearts and flowers, where everyone left a piece of their soul.

The educational and entertainment events “My Ukraine: Roots, Strength, Future,” “We Are One Nation, We Are the Children of Ukraine,” “There Is Such a Country—Ukraine,” and “Ukraine—My Destiny and My Life” consisted of quick-thinking contests, crossword puzzles, quizzes, and active folk games that united the youth of Donetsk Oblast around the fundamental values of our country.

Book exhibitions titled “Ukrainian Statehood: A Journey Through the Centuries,” “Statehood Dreamed of by Generations,” and “A United Ukraine” explored the centuries-old history of Ukraine’s formation, its struggle for independence, and its current achievements.

Screenings of animated films, themed movies, video presentations, and video lectures in honor of Ukrainian Statehood Day revealed fascinating facts about key events of the past and inspired even greater pride in the fact that we are Ukrainians.

A patriotic flash mob created by the children served as an inspiration to everyone and a reminder that love for one’s homeland begins in childhood.

This day was filled with knowledge, remembrance, and unity in building a strong state.

During the events, special emphasis was placed on honoring the defenders of Ukraine who protect the country’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

Visitors to the humanitarian hubs and centers joined in laying flowers at the monuments to Taras Shevchenko—a symbol of our language and spirit.

Residents of the Donetsk region felt pride in our heritage, strength of spirit, and the resilience of the Ukrainian people.

Preserving unity and working together for victory is the most important national task that we are all carrying out to ensure victory!

Everything will be Ukraine!
