In August, DTEK Donetsk Power Grids restored electricity for nearly 780,000 households after shelling

Despite the constant danger posed by large-scale hostilities in Donetsk region, last month specialists from DTEK Donetsk Power Grids managed to reach a number of damaged energy facilities, repair them, and restore electricity supply to residents of 374 settlements*. Power returned to nearly 780,000 households. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore electricity in the frontline region as soon as conditions allow and the military grants permission to carry out the work. In total, since the start of the full-scale invasion, energy workers have restored electricity for 11.9 million families on a cumulative basis*.

In August, the enemy continued relentless shelling of Donetsk region, striking with drones, missiles, and aviation. Despite all challenges and constant danger, DTEK Donetsk Power Grids specialists fully or partially restored electricity supply to 374 settlements, bringing light back to 779,258 households.

Restoring power in Donetsk region is becoming increasingly difficult. Nevertheless, energy workers continue their mission. Just in the past week, company specialists reconnected 96 settlements and restored electricity for 277,900 households in the frontline region.

Specialists of the company continue repairing networks and equipment and will definitely bring back light to all residents of the region as soon as they receive permission from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to carry out the work. However, working in Donetsk region has become extremely dangerous. Despite all safety measures, last month energy workers again came under fire while performing repair works.
