From July 7 to 13, DTEK Donetsk Electric Grids’ emergency repair crews, with permission from the military, were able to reach and fix a number of damaged power lines. As a result, electricity was restored in 32 settlements across Donetsk region, and over 58,000 families now have access to electricity again. The energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power in this frontline region as soon as conditions allow.
Despite ongoing heavy fighting in the region, last week DTEK Donetsk Electric Grids specialists managed to fully or partially restore power in 32 settlements. In total, 58,133 households in frontline communities have electricity again.
Notably, over the weekend alone, energy workers restored power to residents of 19 settlements affected by shelling — that’s 9,000 homes reconnected.
Donetsk region remains one of the most active combat zones. Enemy attacks and shelling continue constantly, as do damages to the energy infrastructure. Power engineers will return electricity to every resident of the region as soon as they receive clearance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to begin repairs.
DTEK Donetsk Electric Grids specialists have been working nonstop for 1,238 days, restoring equipment and power lines as soon as it becomes safe and possible to do so.
