


From August 4 to 10, DTEK Donetsk Grids’ emergency repair crews, with the military’s permission, managed to repair a number of network damages and restore electricity to residents of 80 settlements. More than 90,000 families once again have access to power. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore electricity in the frontline region as soon as the military and sappers give the go-ahead.
Intense fighting in the region continues to cause frequent blackouts in towns and villages across Donetsk region. Despite the danger, over the past week DTEK Donetsk Grids’ specialists were able to fully or partially restore power to residents of 80 settlements, reconnecting 90,588 households.
Over the weekend alone, energy workers restored electricity to 36,700 homes in 34 settlements.
Donetsk region remains the arena of the most active hostilities. Damage to the energy infrastructure from ongoing shelling continues. Energy workers will restore electricity to all residents of the region as soon as they receive permission from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to carry out the work.
DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have been working continuously for 1,265 days, repairing equipment and power lines as soon as it becomes possible.
