Every day, Russian shelling forces residents of the Donetsk region to flee their homes for their own safety. They are assisted by rescuers from the “Phoenix” evacuation team, who work in situations where any delay could cost lives.
Over the past week, emergency responders responded to 56 locations and evacuated 71 people—including 7 residents with limited mobility—from the frontline town of Druzhkivka.
Emergency responders communicate with residents, help them gather essential items, transport people to safer locations, and accompany them throughout every stage of the evacuation.
