Junior Sergeant Oleh Tsybulia, call sign “Got,” was killed on April 19, 2025, near Novotoretske, Donetsk region.
He was transporting personnel to a takeoff position when the vehicle was struck by an enemy FPV drone. He was killed, but through his maneuvering he saved the crew. He was 32.
Oleh was born on February 20, 1993, in Mariupol and was raised by his grandmother and grandfather. He graduated from the PSTU College as an electrical technician. He lived in Kyiv, loved video games and anime figurines, and later returned to care for his ailing grandmother.
After her passing, he remained with his grandfather. In 2022, they survived the blockade of Mariupol and reached Kyiv on March 18.
Oleh joined the military; after training, he became part of the “Typhoon” special-purpose UAV unit, fighting in the hottest sectors. His comrades say he was one of the best pilots and the first to destroy a tank in the Pokrovsk sector. In civilian life, he worked as a Mariupol TV operator and a bartender.
He was laid to rest at Lisove Cemetery in Kyiv. He is survived by his grandfather.
At 9:00 a.m., a nationwide moment of silence is observed. The Donetsk Regional Military Administration and the Heroes’ Memorial platform honor the fallen defenders from Donetsk region.
