Forty-seven-year-old Kostiantyn Kyrychenko was killed on December 29, 2024, in the yard of his own home during enemy shelling of the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk region.
Kostiantyn lived in Pokrovsk. In 1997, he began working at the Pokrovsk Locomotive Depot as an assistant electric locomotive driver. In 2023, he became an electric locomotive driver. His loved ones recall that he always had an active life position.
“Kostiantyn was a very kind and good person — open, friendly, caring, and compassionate. He helped everyone who turned to him. He was a responsible worker, and all his colleagues respected him. It was a terrible shock for us to learn about his death. We will always remember Kostia,” his colleagues said.
Kostiantyn is survived by his wife and daughter.
At 9:00 a.m., a nationwide minute of silence is observed. The Donetsk Regional Military Administration and the Memorial platform “Killed by Russia” honor the residents of Donetsk region killed by Russian forces.
