Combat medic Mykyta Kuropatkin, call sign “D-6,” was killed on August 12, 2023, during a combat mission near Robotyne. He was just one month short of his 28th birthday.

Mykyta was born in Russia and moved with his family to Pokrovsk at the age of 12. He completed school and later trained as an auto mechanic at the Selidove Mining Technical College. From 2016 to 2018, he served in the 90th Separate Airmobile Battalion, and later in the 132nd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion. After completing his service, he tried to find his place in civilian life, stayed active in sports, and raised two sons.

With the start of the full-scale invasion, he returned to the front, rejoining the 132nd Battalion. He served as a senior combat medic of a company and saved many lives.

He was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage,” 3rd class.

Mykyta was laid to rest at the Smolian Military Cemetery in Zhytomyr.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, relatives, and brothers-in-arms.
