Published 09 May 2026 year, 09:00

Senior Soldier Ivan Krolevskyi, call sign Roger, was killed on October 22, 2023, near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. While carrying out a combat mission, he stepped on an enemy mine. On December 4, the soldier would have turned 25 years old.

Ivan was born in the village of Lipyny, Khmelnytskyi region. From childhood, he lived in Donetsk region. In 2014, he graduated from Bilozerske Secondary School No. 10. In 2018, he completed his full secondary education at the Bilozerske Vocational Lyceum. He loved fishing and reading psychology books.

In 2019, the man signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to the Joint Forces Operation area to defend his homeland from the enemy. During the full-scale war, Ivan fought in the ranks of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. He served as a senior mechanic-driver.

During his military service, Ivan Vasylovych Krolevskyi received numerous awards, including the Presidential distinction “For the Defense of Ukraine,” the medals “For Courage” and “Participant of the Joint Forces Operation,” and posthumously — the Order “For Courage,” III degree.

“Ivan was an incredibly sincere person, a master of his craft. He never refused any task, no matter how difficult or dangerous it was. I often scolded him for this because I am also military and understood the risks. He loved his family deeply and had many plans for the future that, unfortunately, never came true,” his wife shared.

The Hero was buried at the central cemetery in the city of Rodynske, where he lived with his family.

At home, Ivan was awaited by his wife Anastasiia and son Mykyta, who was 2 years old when his father was killed.

At 9:00 a.m. — the nationwide minute of silence. Donetsk Regional Military Administration and the Memorial platform for fallen heroes honor the defenders from Donetsk region who were killed.
