Published 10 July 2025 year, 09:00

Anatoly Sviridov died on April 23, 2025, in Sloviansk. Russia dropped two aerial bombs on the city, one of which hit the courtyard of a house on Aleksandrov Street, where Anatoly was cutting flowers.

He was born in Sloviansk, studied at school No. 7, and graduated from the College of Industry and Pharmacy. He worked at various enterprises, loved nature, had an apiary, was fond of ceramics and philosophy, and grew flowers.

In 1982, he and his wife Anna settled in Sloviansk, raised their daughter Lyudmila, and ran a ceramics business.

After the invasion in 2022, the family moved to Tetyanivka, but returned due to the shelling.

“My husband came in to ask if I was going to have breakfast and left again. A few minutes later, there was a rumble, an explosion, and everything was flying,” his wife recalled.

Anatoliy was buried under rubble and was pulled out by rescuers, but they were unable to save him.

He was buried in the Northern Cemetery in Sloviansk.

He is survived by his wife, daughter, and two grandchildren.
