Private Andrii Nekhaiev was born on January 3, 2000, in the settlement of Raihorodok. After graduating from the local school, he continued his studies at the Sloviansk Energy Building Professional College. He later worked in construction.
At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he joined the Territorial Defense of Sloviansk. Later, he transferred to the 18th Sloviansk Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, serving as a senior machine gunner in the "Donbas" Special Purpose Battalion.
Andrii Nekhaiev fought his last battle on January 28, 2023, near the village of Kuzmyne in the Sievierodonetsk district of Luhansk Oblast. The defender was forever 23 years old.
The warrior was buried in his native settlement of Raihorodok.
He was posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage," 3rd Class.
