Published 16 October 2026 year, 09:00

Svitlana Dereza was 34 years old. She was born on February 12, 1992, in the city of Sloviansk. She graduated from high school in Bilbasivka. She trained as an artist at Sloviansk Vocational School No. 76 (as of 2026, the Sloviansk Multidisciplinary Regional Center for Vocational Education).

Svitlana was an excellent painter, played the guitar, and studied foreign languages. Her family and friends remember her as an exceptionally kind and compassionate person.

After the full-scale invasion began, Svitlana left for Poland.

In the summer of 2026, she returned to the Donetsk region briefly to visit her parents’ home.

Svitlana Dereza was killed in a Russian airstrike on the village of Bilbasivka on August 30, 2026.

Svitlana was buried in Bilbasivka next to her father’s grave.

She is survived by two sisters.

At 9:00 a.m.—a nationwide minute of silence. The Donetsk Regional Military Administration and the Memorial platform: those killed by Russia remember the residents of the Donetsk region killed by Russians.
