Senior Soldier Oleksii Kupriianov, call sign “Kuprik”, was killed in action on September 30, 2023, in the village of Stepova Novoselivka, Kupiansk district, Kharkiv region. The defender was 35 years old.
Oleksii was born on March 23, 1988, in Mariupol. He lived in Kharkiv, where he graduated from the National University of Radio Electronics. He was passionate about cycling.
From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he volunteered to help the army, and in June 2022, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the special unit “Kraken.”
“He was an honest and kind person — the best son, father, and husband. Brave and strong, he respected his comrades and helped everyone. He loved Ukraine,”— said his mother, Yelyzaveta.
Oleksii was buried in Kharkiv.
He was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage,” 3rd Class.
He is survived by his wife, son, daughter, and parents.
At 9:00 a.m., the nation observes a moment of silence.
