Nationwide minute of silence

Mykola Kamynin was killed on February 17, 2023, as a result of shelling in the village of Ivanopillia, Kostiantynivka community, when he came to help his ill mother and aunt.

Mykola was 47 years old. He was born in Sloviansk. He graduated from Secondary School No. 13 and a railway vocational school, where he trained as a railcar repair mechanic.

In recent years, he worked in construction. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors and was passionate about fishing. He also cared for stray animals.

“Mykola was a skilled professional, a kind, honest, and sincere person. He was involved in volunteer work and helped both military personnel and internally displaced people,” his sister Valentyna recalled.

Mykola Kamynin was laid to rest at Smolne Cemetery in Sloviansk.

At 9:00 a.m., Ukraine observes a nationwide minute of silence. The Donetsk Regional Military Administration and the Memorial platform honor the residents of Donetsk region who were killed by Russian forces.
