Lieutenant Ivan Kondrashov was killed on June 20, 2022, as a result of a missile strike on the city of Druzhkivka. On the day of his death, the soldier turned 22.
Ivan was born on June 20, 2000, in the city of Kostiantynivka. He graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, where he obtained a higher education in military psychology. In his free time, he was engaged in sports and loved drawing.
Immediately after receiving his diploma, Ivan began his service in his field. He took up the position of officer-psychologist in the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
“May the memory of you, Vanyusha, live forever. The memory of your big heart, your kindness, your strength, and your love with which you embraced the whole world. You were the best of people, my support, my happiness, my SON with a capital letter. And I want your name to be heard always, for you to be remembered not only by those who knew you, but also by those who are just hearing your story. Because you deserve it. I will never stop loving you and will never stop saying that you were, are, and will be the best son, the brightest person who left a mark on this world. My heart will always be with you, and as long as I live, I will preserve and pass on the memory of you. Because love is stronger than death, and memory is stronger than time,” wrote his mother, Olha Kondrashova.
For his courage and resilience, the defender was awarded the Order “For Courage,” 3rd class.
Ivan Kondrashov was initially buried in his native Kostiantynivka. However, due to ongoing hostilities, he was reburied in Kyiv at the Alley of Glory at Lisove Cemetery.
He is survived by his mother and brother.
