National Minute of Silence

Mykola Tsyhanok was killed as a result of a Russian attack on a residential neighborhood in the town of Novohrodivka. On the afternoon of March 21, 2024, Russian forces struck the area. His common-law wife, Valentyna, was also killed in the attack.

Mykola Tsyhanok was 60 years old. He was born and lived in Novohrodivka. He first worked at the Kotliarevska Mine and later spent several years as a taxi driver before retiring.

"My father was caring, loving, and always ready to help others. People in our town remember him only for his kindness. He never refused anyone who needed help," his daughter Iryna recalled.

Mykola Tsyhanok is survived by his daughter and brother.

At 9:00 a.m., Ukraine observes the National Minute of Silence. The Donetsk Regional Military Administration and the Memorial: Victims Killed by Russia platform honor the memory of civilians from the Donetsk region who were killed by Russian aggression.
