44-year-old soldier Oleksandr Nazarenko was killed in action on April 8, 2023, near the village of Bohdanivka in the Bakhmut district, Donetsk Oblast.
Born on January 16, 1979, in Sloviansk, Donetsk Oblast. He attended local Boarding School No. 1 and later graduated from the Mykolaiv Vocational Lyceum, qualifying as a joiner and carpenter.
Worked in his specialized trade at private enterprises in Sloviansk before relocating to Odesa in 2020.
In 2023, during the full-scale Russian invasion, Oleksandr volunteered for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Served as a rifleman-sniper in the 17th Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion (which was later reorganized into the 1st Motorized Infantry Battalion of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade).
Deployed initially to Mykolaivka before serving in intense combat positions around Bakhmut.
Oleksandr was laid to rest in the village of Peremozhne, Odesa Oblast.
