On May 29, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Oleksandr Shevchenko, a meeting of the working group on providing assistance, social protection, and support for war veterans, servicemen, and the families of the fallen (deceased or recognized as missing) Defenders of Ukraine took place.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the structural divisions of the regional state administration, as well as the regional employment center, the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, the Donetsk Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment, and district state administrations, and district military administrations.
During the event, issues related to the implementation of state and additional social guarantees for the specified categories of citizens were discussed. Special attention was paid to meeting the needs of severely wounded servicemen and those released from captivity, who are currently undergoing treatment or rehabilitation in medical institutions.
Community representatives from the Donetsk region informed about measures aimed at meeting the needs of severely wounded servicemen and servicemen released from captivity, including the restoration of educational documents and the provision of natural and material assistance.
Following the meeting, key areas for further work were identified. The working group continues to coordinate its actions aimed at strengthening support and protection for veterans and their families.
