July this year marked the 90th anniversary of the birth of Natalia Georgievna Kharakoz, a talented journalist, writer, member of two creative unions – the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine and the National Union of Writers of Ukraine, long-time head of the Azovye literary club, and public figure from Mariupol.
Specialists from the information and bibliography department of the Donetsk Regional Library for Children, with the support of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, prepared an informational and bibliographic essay entitled “She is from Azovye” (https://bibliokids-mrpl.com.ua/images/2025/vona.pdf), which contains materials about the life and work of this extraordinary personality, whose life and work were cut short in Mariupol, surrounded by Russian troops in the spring of 2022.
The publication is intended for librarians, local historians, educators, students, schoolchildren, and anyone interested in the history and literature of their native land.
