Preserving the historical and cultural heritage of Donetsk Oblast during the war will be discussed at a seminar

An online seminar entitled "Regional Local History Dialogues: The Role of Libraries in Preserving Cultural Heritage and Supporting the Community During the War" will be held in Donetsk Oblast, organized by the Donetsk Oblast Children's Library with the support of the Donetsk Oblast State Administration and the Donetsk Oblast Branch of the Ukrainian Library Association.

The event will be held as part of the local history project “Donetsk Region on the Map of Time” and will serve as a professional platform for exchanging experiences, discussing practices for preserving local heritage, forming collective memory, and strengthening the community in wartime.

Seminar participants will present library initiatives and projects, practical cases of local history activities, discuss the prospects of a joint local history resource and the role of libraries in supporting community resilience.

The seminar will begin on July 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. (Google Meet platform).
