On July 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., an online regional round table dedicated to Ethnographer Day will be held, entitled “Traditional culture of Donetsk region during the war: from research to preservation.”
The event aims to draw attention to pressing issues of preserving elements of the region's traditional culture in the context of full-scale war, as well as to promote interdisciplinary dialogue. Particular attention will be paid to practices of researching, recording, and representing the cultural heritage of Donetsk region in the context of contemporary challenges.
The following are invited to participate:
- representatives of local communities in the region;
- ethnographers, folklorists, local historians;
- employees of museums and cultural institutions;
- bearers of traditions, responsible for elements of intangible cultural heritage (ICH).
