Despite the martial law and the relocation to the Kirovohrad region, the educational process at the Toretsk Vocational Lyceum continues. In March 2026, 15 students with special educational needs, together with their vocational training instructors, are undergoing practical training in accordance with the work-based curriculum.

During classes, students are learning techniques for working with modern construction mixtures, practicing skills in preparing surfaces for finishing work, and adhering to occupational safety requirements and workplace organization. Thanks to the newly acquired training easels, each student has the opportunity to individually practice techniques for applying decorative coatings and finishing materials.

As part of their practical training, students also work on the production of decorative plaster tiles and their installation during the finishing of dormitory rooms.

Training students with special educational needs in vocational education institutions is a crucial component of their further socialization, the acquisition of professional skills, and the creation of opportunities for successful integration into the professional environment. Acquiring a trade enhances their competitiveness in the labor market and lays the groundwork for independent living.
