On March 16 and 17, staff from the Donetsk Regional State Administration’s Department of Children’s Affairs and the Donetsk Regional Center for Social Services visited foster families and family-type children’s homes in the Druzhkivka and Sloviansk territorial communities. These families are currently living in the Poltava, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, and Khmelnytskyi regions following their forced displacement.
During the meetings, participants focused on ensuring children’s rights, taking their interests into account, and creating appropriate conditions for their development. Specialists held substantive discussions with parents, discussed the children’s daily needs, and identified further steps to support each family.
The Regional State Administration provided the families with EcoFlow Delta 3 power stations to help maintain a stable standard of living. And the region’s communities prepared gifts and sweets for the children.
The children sincerely thanked the guests for their attention and support and presented them with handmade keepsakes. The meetings took place in a sincere and warm atmosphere, fostering open dialogue and strengthening a sense of support and unity.
Such visits are particularly significant, as they not only help address families’ needs in a timely manner but also show children and parents that they are not left alone to face their challenges.
