On January 28, an online meeting for women took place with the participation of Natalia Adamova, Director of the Donetsk Regional Employment Center. The event was organized in cooperation with the women’s civil society organization Smarta.
The meeting brought together internally displaced women from Donetsk Oblast who are currently living in different parts of the country. It became a platform for an open discussion about support, professional opportunities, and the resources currently offered by the State Employment Service.
During the meeting, Natalia Adamova provided detailed information about opportunities for women who are seeking employment, planning career changes, or aiming to start their own businesses. In particular, participants learned about opportunities for free vocational training and retraining, acquiring new professions, upgrading qualifications, and developing modern skills.
Special attention was paid to support for women’s entrepreneurship — grant programs, consultations on starting and developing a business, and comprehensive support for women at all stages of their entrepreneurial journey.
In addition, the Director of the Regional Employment Center informed participants about job search services, the individualized approach of employment service specialists, career counseling, and other tools that help women find jobs tailored to their experience, needs, and life circumstances.
Participants had the opportunity to ask questions, share their own stories, and receive practical advice.
The meeting was held within the framework of the project “Without Limits: Overcoming Gender Stereotypes in Women’s Professional Self-Determination,” co-organized with the NGO Smarta, which actively advocates for women’s rights, promotes women’s leadership, advances the Women, Peace, and Security agenda at the regional level, and stands for gender equality.
