The Ministry of Economy reports that it has updated the List of domestic machinery and equipment for the agricultural sector for the fifth time since the beginning of the year, 25% of which (excluding VAT) is compensated by the state. This time, 190 new items and 3 new machine-building companies were added.
"This is the fifth expansion of the list this year - the program to compensate 25% of the cost of Ukrainian agricultural machinery is gaining momentum. Thus, for the first time, bakery and confectionery equipment was included. In total, we already have 13,997 items of equipment from 160 Ukrainian companies. It is important that the program supports two strategic industry sectors at once: farmers modernize their machinery at lower costs, and machine builders receive additional orders," said Oleksiy Sobolev, Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
Among the 13 new categories of equipment included in the list for the first time are bakery ovens, dough machines, glazing and cooling equipment, and proofing cabinets.
Additionally, new items from companies already participating in the program were included: screw conveyors, grain dryers, separators, conveyors and other equipment for the agricultural sector.
The list also includes 3 new manufacturers:
- Vega Agro LLC (Zhytomyr region);
- IMPEXMASH PE (Kropyvnytskyi);
- KAMAK GROUP LLC (Kyiv region).
In total, in December-July, agricultural producers purchased 4,284 units of Ukrainian agricultural machinery and equipment worth over UAH 3 billion (including VAT) under the program. The state paid almost UAH 642 million in compensation.
As a reminder, 25% of the cost (excluding VAT) is compensated for agricultural machinery and equipment with at least 60% Ukrainian content. Special conditions apply to certain categories of machinery, such as combines, tractors, self-propelled sprayers and grain carriers. The list of agricultural machinery and equipment with a confirmed level of localization is published on the website of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture. As of August, the list includes 13,807 technical items from 157 manufacturers.
In early April, the Government changed the rules for participation in the program to compensate 25% of the cost of Ukrainian agricultural machinery and equipment: now only agricultural producers registered in the State Agrarian Register (SAR) will be able to use it.
In 2024, under the 25% compensation program, agricultural producers purchased 5,311 units of machinery worth over UAH 4.2 billion. The state compensated almost UAH 877 million.
How the program works:
To take advantage of the 25% compensation program, agricultural producers must select machinery or equipment from the official list on the Ministry of Economy's website, purchase it, and apply through an authorized bank. There are 34 banks participating in the program.
Manufacturers wishing to include their products in the list can apply to the Ministry of Economy by submitting an application on the Ministry's official website.
The program operates in accordance with CMU Resolution 130 and is one of the tools for implementing the "Made in Ukraine" policy aimed at supporting domestic production, localization and development of industrial potential.
