On the occasion of the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and St. Nicholas Day, meetings were held with veterans, military personnel, and family members of fallen (deceased) defenders of Ukraine from the Sartana settlement and Kalchitsa rural communities of the Mariupol district.
These meetings were attended by representatives of the regional administration's department for veteran policy, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the Social Protection Fund for Persons with Disabilities, the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk region, the Donetsk Regional Employment Center, and public organizations.
Despite the different formats and regions in which they were held, both events had a common goal:
- to honor servicemen and veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- to support the families of fallen (deceased) defenders of Ukraine;
- to strengthen community unity;
- preserving the memory of their heroic deeds and devotion to the state.
Such events contribute to the development of civic awareness, support the morale of military personnel, and create conditions for the preservation of cultural and patriotic traditions.
