ℹ A sick leave certificate is a document generated by the software tools of the Electronic Register of Sick Leave Certificates, based on a medical opinion on temporary incapacity for work, issued by a physician at a healthcare facility.
👆 This type of sick leave certificate entitles an insured person to be excused from work due to temporary incapacity and to receive financial assistance in cases of temporary disability, pregnancy, or childbirth.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine is responsible for maintaining the Electronic Register of Sick Leave Certificates.
🔸 As of August 1, 2025, the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk region has issued 760.9 thousand electronic sick leave certificates since the system was launched, including 51.1 thousand since the beginning of 2025.
