A sick leave certificate is a document generated by the software tools of the Electronic Register of Sick Leave Certificates based on a medical certificate of temporary incapacity for work, issued by a doctor at a healthcare facility.
👆 Such a sick leave certificate entitles an insured person to absence from work due to incapacity and to the provision of financial support in cases of temporary disability, pregnancy, and childbirth.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine is responsible for maintaining the Electronic Register of Sick Leave Certificates.
🔸 As of 01.12.2025, the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk region has issued 785,000 electronic sick leave certificates since the system was introduced, including 75,100 — since the beginning of 2025.
