Winter wonders of festive bibliomagic for children from Donetsk region
«Marathon of good events» in the city of Bila Tserkva The Donetsk Regional Library for Children, together with Branch Library No. 8 of the Bila Tserkva City Central Library System named after Petro Krasnozhon, created a real Christmas miracle for children from Donetsk region – an interactive program called «Festive Bibliomagic.»
The event was held with the support of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and gave the young guests warmth, joy, and a feeling of home.
The children immersed themselves in the world of books and creativity and got acquainted with a new fairy tale created by the Donetsk Regional Library for Children, «The Starry Compass of Donetsk Region.» It features four symbols of our region: salt, coal, the steppe, and the brilliant «Shchedryk» by Mykola Leontovych, who worked in Pokrovsk. The children listened with interest to how the world-famous melody is connected with their native Donetsk region and discovered the richness of the region’s cultural heritage.
Poems by Donetsk authors about winter and holidays, fun interactive quizzes, entertainment, laughter, and singing together created an atmosphere of genuine unity. And at the «Workshop of Wonders» and «Wonders with Your Own Hands» workshops, children created their own New Year’s decorations, turning their fantasies into reality.
«Festive Bibliomagic» showed once again that the library is a living space of creativity, knowledge, warmth, and support. This day was especially important for children who had left their homes because of the war. Here they experienced joy, friendship, and connection with their peers, and received wonderful sweet gifts from the Donetsk Regional State Administration and a collection of «Star Compass of Donetsk Region» as a memento so that they would always remember their roots.
