Just as the police were evacuating people, the enemy began dropping KAB bombs on the city. The situation was complicated by a mechanical failure—a flat tire. While bombs flew overhead, the crew hurriedly repaired the vehicle.
Despite the unforeseen circumstances, the “White Angel” evacuation team managed to rescue about a dozen people from the line of fire. All of them were eagerly awaiting rescue.
“I prayed that you would come and get me out of here as soon as possible,” admits one of the rescued men.
Druzhkivka is changing every day—Russia is destroying the city and hunting down residents with drones: it’s even dangerous to move around on foot. For many residents, the “White Angels” are the only way to save their lives.
