Who is eligible for assistance:
🔹 Assistance is granted to pregnant women (including minors) who are not insured under the compulsory state social insurance system.
📝 Conditions and key details:
🔸 An application must be submitted no later than 6 months after the end of maternity leave related to pregnancy and childbirth;
🔸 The payment is made for the entire period of maternity leave, which amounts to:
▫️ 70 calendar days before childbirth and 56 days after childbirth;
▫️ 70 days after childbirth in cases of complicated childbirth or the birth of two or more children.
🔸 For women classified as Categories 1–3 of persons affected by the Chornobyl disaster, assistance is paid for 180 calendar days (90 days before and 90 days after childbirth);
🔸 The assistance is calculated as a lump sum and is paid in full regardless of the number of days of leave actually used before childbirth.
👶 Assistance is also provided to persons who adopt or take guardianship of a child within two months of the child’s birth — for the period from the date of adoption (guardianship) until the end of the postnatal leave period.
📑 Required documents:
🔸 An application of the установленої form (approved by CMU Resolution No. 765);
🔸 Information on the record number in the Register of Medical Conclusions within the electronic healthcare system regarding the medical conclusion on temporary incapacity for work under the category “Pregnancy and Childbirth.”
ℹ️ The data are verified through state registers, and no additional certificates from the applicant are required.

💰 Amount of assistance:
💁♀️ UAH 7,000 per month in 2026;
💁♀️ From 2027 onward, the amount will be determined by the Law of Ukraine on the State Budget for the respective year.
