The United World Cultures Foundation (UWCF), with the support of the Department of Family, Youth, and Public Events for National-Patriotic Education of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, invites children living in the settlements of the Donetsk region, as well as children who were forced to relocate from Donetsk Oblast to other regions of Ukraine or abroad, to participate in the children’s drawing and handicraft contest “My Family: From Generation to Generation.”
This contest is held on the occasion of Family Day and Vyshyvanka Day with the aim of cultural and educational development, patriotic education, and the formation of national identity among children and adolescents; the preservation and dissemination of the cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people and the authentic culture of their native land; to preserve family traditions and ensure generational continuity by instilling in children a love and respect for their native culture; and to provide social support for talented youth, promoting their self-realization and creative development under martial law.
Children aged 6 to 16 inclusive are invited to participate in the contest (the contestant’s age is calculated as of May 1, 2026).
Participation in the contest is free of charge.
The contest is held in two categories: drawing and handmade crafts.
In the “Drawing” category, each contestant may submit no more than two entries for the Contest on one or two different themes, using one or two different techniques, in the appropriate age group (category):
First age group (ages 6 to 11),
Second age group (ages 12 to 16).
In the “Handmade” category (handcrafted items), each participant may submit no more than two entries of one or different types of decorative and applied crafts.
Entries are registered in one of the following categories:
Items made exclusively by children (ages 6 to 16);
Items made by children together with adult family members (in particular, together with older sisters/brothers aged 17 or older).
Entries must be submitted exclusively in electronic format by filling out the Google Form, following all instructions provided therein.
Submissions will be accepted through May 1, 2026.

The results of the competition will be announced on May 15, 2026—Family Day—online, specifically on the social media accounts of the “Uniting World Cultures” Charitable Foundation: the UWCF Facebook page and the UWCF Instagram page.
