On July 1, 2026, ten children from the Siverska community set off for a two-week vacation at the “Malyatko” children’s camp, located in the Onokivska rural community of Zakarpattia Oblast.
This trip was made possible thanks to the fruitful cooperation between the Siverska and Onokivska communities as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” which aims to support children from communities affected by the war.
Ahead of them, the young participants can look forward to two weeks of meaningful leisure activities amidst the picturesque nature of Zakarpattia. An engaging recreational program has been prepared for the children, featuring educational excursions, creative and sports activities, new friendships, warm interactions, delicious meals, and countless memorable experiences.
Such trips are extremely important for children, as they promote emotional recovery, strengthen mental health, broaden their worldview, and provide an opportunity to take their minds off the challenges of wartime life—at least for a little while.
We sincerely wish our children a safe, exciting, and unforgettable vacation! May these two weeks bring many genuine smiles, new friends, positive emotions, unforgettable discoveries, warmth of the heart, and strength for new achievements.
