The Oleksandrivka village community and the Yaremche city community discussed the program for hosting children from eastern Ukraine in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.
During the working meeting, the parties discussed key organizational issues, including logistics, living conditions, meals, the children’s safety, and the program’s content. Particular attention was paid to developing a rich and educational program that combines educational, cultural, sports, and national-patriotic activities.
As part of the agreed-upon program, which will run from April 20 to May 1, 2026, the following activities are planned for the children:
- a grand opening and a national-patriotic event titled “With Ukraine in Our Hearts”;
- excursions, including trips to Dovbush Rocks, the Chemegiv Canyon, and the Makovytsia Mountain Pasture, as well as visits to the Probiy Waterfall and a wildlife enclosure;
- an introduction to the cultural heritage of the Carpathian region through museum visits, participation in workshops (Easter egg painting, beadwork, folk dancing, etc.), and themed events, including a “Hutsul Wedding”;
- sports competitions in mini-soccer, volleyball, and table tennis;
- creative and cultural events, including a concert program and a fashion show of embroidered clothing.
The program also allows ample time for rest and informal interaction among the children, which will help foster friendships between participants from different regions of Ukraine.
The meeting participants noted the importance of such initiatives for supporting children, developing intermunicipal cooperation, and strengthening community unity. Following the meeting, further steps for implementing the program were agreed upon, and individuals responsible for each area of work were designated.
