For children from the Shakhiv community, the long-awaited camp session has begun at the Irkliiv territorial community.
Thanks to the partnership in the national project “Side by Side: United Communities” and the sincere support of the people of Cherkasy, the summer camp for the young guests got off to a vibrant, safe start filled with unforgettable experiences.
Immediately after the ceremonial portion and the official opening, the campers set off on their first adventures.
The first day of the session turned out to be packed with activities. The children visited the cozy riverside area of the village of Prydniprovskyi. The picturesque views of the mighty Dnipro River, the fresh air, and the peaceful atmosphere of the Cherkasy region immediately put everyone in the mood for excitement and quality relaxation.
A picnic, grilled sausages, and Cossack games. Together with their counselors, the children gathered around the campfire for a friendly get-together and grilled juicy sausages themselves. The aromatic outdoor lunch gave everyone the energy they needed for active fun.
Right after a delicious snack, the boys and girls launched into some real sports battles: they played ball enthusiastically outdoors, shared their impressions, laughed a lot, and got to know each other better.
The start of the season turned out to be incredibly warm and unifying, proving once again that Ukrainian communities are united in their desire to give children a happy childhood.
Ahead, the campers have many more exciting excursions, creative workshops, new discoveries, and, of course, lasting camp friendships to look forward to!
