Summer is coming to an end, but for 10 children from the Siversk City Territorial Community, it continues with new experiences, new friendships, and an unforgettable trip! The children had a wonderful opportunity to visit Germany as part of the “Siversk–Ortenau Youth Exchange Program” and spend time in the picturesque town of Renchen in the state of Baden-Württemberg.
The trip was made possible thanks to the fruitful cooperation between Oleksiy Vorobyov, head of the Siversk City Military Administration; the NGO “German-Ukrainian Society of Ortenau”; its board chair, Martin Kujawa; and the project’s volunteer coordinator, Johannes Bayer. Thanks to this support, friendly ties between the communities are maintained, and new opportunities for recreation, development, and cultural exchange among the children are created.
A rich and exciting program awaits the young travelers:
- hikes and exploring Germany’s natural landscapes;
- rock climbing in a special park;
- sports activities and outdoor recreation;
- a visit to the zoo;
- an unforgettable trip to Europa-Park in Rust;
- time at the pool;
- a visit to the European Parliament.
There are many new discoveries, exciting experiences, and interesting encounters ahead. For our children, this is not just a vacation, but an opportunity to see the world, learn more about the culture and traditions of another country, make new friends, and gain experiences that will stay with them for a lifetime.
We sincerely thank everyone who is working to make this project a reality, supporting our children, and strengthening the friendship between Ukraine and Germany. Special thanks go to the non-profit organization “German-Ukrainian Society of Ortenau,” its board chairman Martin Kujawa, and the project’s volunteer coordinator Johannes Bayer for their dedication, support, and personal contributions to organizing this trip.
We wish our young travelers a wonderful time, the chance to recharge their energy, unforgettable experiences, and a return home filled with countless vivid memories!
May this journey be another step toward new opportunities, strong friendship, and mutual understanding between our communities!
